Gympie Community Solar Assn.

Gympie Community Solar Assn. recognizes that fossil fuels and their emissions are the major cause of global warming driven climate change with disastrous impacts on the planets overall environment and humanity. Gympie Community Solar Assn.:

• advocates the technologies that facilitate the change away from fossil fuels in our economy and other sources of green house gases,

• provides free advice to anyone who has questions about solar systems or solar hot water for their house or business,

• promotes the adoption of solar systems on community or social structures to mitigate the social injustice currently impacting those who cannot easily access solar systems now.

We do this by demonstrating the potential economic gains achieved by adopting solar systems and making opportunities for people with solar systems to talk directly with people who may be contemplating an installation decision.  Envirotech Day Gympie is an event that helps do this.

Gympie Regional Council

Gympie Regional Council welcomes Envirotech Day 2021 back to Nelson Reserve in the heart of the Gympie Town Centre. The day is an outstanding showcase of the advancements being made in sustainable technologies that are helping residents and businesses reduce their impact on the environment … as well as save money!

 

Council was pleased to support the inaugural Envirotech Gympie event in 2019.  The event drew an impressive community attendance and generated a lot of awareness and interest in sustainability issues. Importantly, the event demonstrated the many ways residents and businesses can take real sustainability action, whilst also seeing genuine financial benefits. Congratulations to everyone involved.

 

Council is proud to be a part of the 2021 Envirotech Day and looks forward to seeing the event go from strength to strength in the future.

Gympie Living magazine shares the good stories in our community on living sustainably, and how ethical based decision making can produce better social and environmental outcomes.  Together we can educate our community and explore the simple changes that can be made in our lives, that can have a positive impact. Every choice we make, matters.  Gympie Living is proud to support an event that showcases technologies that reduce energy use, emissions, waste and water for businesses and households and assists our community to be more sustainable.

Gympie & District Landcare Incorporated

Gympie & District Landcare Group Incorporated, care for the land and believe in the power of like-minded people working together to influence the use of sustainable land management practices. We do this by providing education and advice on a range of environmental best practice methods. We also provide native plants and insects for bio control for use within our local region.

We are keenly focused on engaging wider participation throughout the community, to assist in caring for our natural resources. All of our projects are strategically aligned, planned and measured for their effectiveness.
