Gympie Community Solar Assn. (GCSA) aims to provide information and advice about renewable energy options, but especially solar energy. There are many forms of renewable energy: wind, ocean, geothermal, biofuels, hydro as well as solar. Gympie has great resources for solar PV systems so we concentrate on this. There is an urgent need to adopt renewable energy to displace fossil fuel use as this is the principal cause of increasing levels of CO2 in the Atmosphere. This is driving Global warming and causing our climate to change, sea levels to rise and devastating human and natural environments.
Gympie Community Solar Assn aims to help you get Solar installed by providing free and independent advice. Talk to us and we will help you realize how much you can save by installing Solar PV and hot water systems.
Who We Are
Gympie Community Solar Assn are a Community group, not sponsored by or endorsing any business, aiming to:

encourage the adoption of renewable energy by Community businesses, private businesses and Individuals,

demonstrate that solar power is abundant, free and clean, and that it is technologically advanced, mainstream and financially viable now,

promote our District's huge areas of industrial roof space, car parks and house tops that bake in the sun but could be used to generate solar power and displace fossil fuel use, and
-
make our Community more sustainable by reducing the use of fossil fuels and consequently improving health and environmental outcomes for our Community.
